http://rudolfvonwaldenfels.blogspot.com/2008/11/dem-reinen-ist-alles-rein.html

In seinem außergewöhnlichen Buch War Is A Force That Gives Us Meaning schildert der amerikanische Kriegsreporter Chris Hedges Szenen aus der Hölle.

To the pure everything is pure
My translation

“Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.”
Letter of St. Paul at Titus, 1, 15

Originally I wanted today to remark something briefly about this popular Bible quotation, but then I discovered at a blog unknown to me this:

http://rudolfvonwaldenfels.blogspot.com/2008/11/dem-reinen-ist-alles-rein.html

The author, Rudolf von Waldenfels, has probably made a break from blogging to my regret, but he was so friendly to permit me immediately to quote his words in detail (such also not always happen).

„You have to afraid the good ones, those, who do not know anything from the abysses in their own heart. They will recognize the bad only outside of themselves and therefore will have nothing object to its destruction.

In his outstanding book “War Is A Force That Gives US Meaning” the American war reporter Chris Hedges describes scenes from hell. He was in Sarajewo, he was in Rwanda, he was in Gaza. And always, he writes, there were the visionaries, the idealists, who were convinced of their own purity, who committed the worst crimes.

Still for the moment, since they plunge with the bayonet, they believe to bring the world nearer to Paradise.“

Like our Lord says ”There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.”(Mark 7,15), so if your heart is sincere and kind and compassionate to your fellow man, you're pure. I’m sure you are.
